My dad has been a beekeeper for a long time, (even before I was born). When he started, he commissioned a website. That website is still being used today with some minor tweaks. That’s why I thought it was a nice idea to remake his website for his birthday. To bring him back to the modern day!
This is a preview of the new website. It is still not fully finished, since I am waiting for some feedback and extra testing. When it is finished it will replace his current site. The new design and logic is fully made by me, which is a modern spin on his current site. Users can add products to a shopping cart, and then checkout. During checkout, VAT is automatically calculated, and an account is created for the customer. This way my dad can view all orders of a customer. The new site is built using Astro and is hosted on Cloudflare workers. It is also using Cloudflare SQLite for the database, however this is managed by Drizzle ORM which makes it simple to switch to another database. It was fully built by me, not based on any templates.
