Welcome to this site! I built this site to showcase my projects and experience! I wanted to create something that resembles the old 00’s style of sites.
It is built using Astro and is hosted on Cloudflare workers. It is built in a way where it ships the least amount of data possible. Pages are rendered to static .html, and only updated when I update the content. AI tools can be very helpful when developing, however to show my personal skills I refrained from using any AI coding tools during the development. I believe fully understanding your own code is very important, and relying on AI tools completely removes this.
Languages??
Yeah! You saw it correctly, this site is translated in 3 languages. I am Dutch so obviously there has to be a Dutch version. To make it as accessible as possible I also made an English version. The third language is Japanese, which I am currently learning!! as a hobby. I can’t speak it that well, but I try to translate myself as much as possible. You can read more about that here here. Not all the languages have the same content, as I am still learning Japanese, the Japanese version is a bit more limited. The leading version of the site is the English version.
